Assistant Solicitor General

YM Dyg Hjh Suriana binti Hj Radin joined the Attorney General’s Chambers in October 2001, after qualifying as a Barrister-at-Law from the United Kingdom the same year. She later obtained an LLM in Criminal Justice in 2016.

She currently holds the position of Assistant Solicitor General and oversees two divisions within the Chambers: the Civil Division and the Criminal Justice Division. Apart from her responsibilities as Assistant Solicitor General, she is a Deputy Public Prosecutor and regularly prosecutes cases in all tiers of the Courts of Brunei Darussalam.

As a prosecutor for over 23 years, she has extensive experience in prosecution and has dealt with a number of high-profile cases, including death penalty cases. She specialises in complex financial crime matters, corruption, and asset recovery.

She sits on a number of national committees including the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee, the Road Safety Council and the National Committee for Trafficking in Persons. In 2023, she was appointed as a Member of the Competition Commission of Brunei Darussalam, which oversees fair business competition in Brunei. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of a local financial institution in Brunei.
