17th February 2025 – Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib, the Attorney General of Brunei Darussalam, received a courtesy visit from the Honourable M. Kula Segaran, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) of Malaysia, at The Law Building. This visit is part of the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) ASEAN tour in light of Malaysia’s ASEAN 2025 Chairmanship.
During the courtesy call, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib and the Honourable M. Kula Segaran discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia in legal and institutional matters. A key focus of their discussions was to enhance collaboration in legal areas such as in Commercial Arbitration and International Mediation. Both parties also explored ways to enhance cooperation, foster knowledge sharing, and support capacity building efforts, with the ultimate goal of establishing a framework that would mutually benefit both countries.
Also present during the courtesy call were Yang Mulia Hajah Zuraini binti Haji Sharbawi (Solicitor General) and senior officers from the Attorney General’s Chambers.
